As the theme of my blog is “Bring Love to Work”,
I asume that many of you who take a look at this page come to church as a member,
instead of organizing a church.
That is, you support your church having another main job(s).
I am one of them as well.
In this case, I am wondering if you have had these questions:
- What is a good church life as a member?
- How can I be a good MEMBER of my church?
If you have this type of questions,
I highly recommend a book called “I Am a CHurch Member”
Summary by Chat GPT
First of all, I would like to give you an overall idea of this book.
So I asked Chat GPT to make a summary of the book.
This is a promts I made:
Please summarize a book called <I Am a Church Member> to help me create a book review.
Title: I Am a Church Member
Author: Thom S. Rainer
Genre: religious, Christian
And here’s what Chat GPT generated;
“I Am a Church Member” by Thom S. Rainer is a religious book focused on Christian faith and membership within a church community. The author discusses the importance of being an active and engaged member of a church, emphasizing the responsibilities and commitments that come with being a part of a faith community. Rainer outlines key attitudes and actions that a church member should possess, aiming to inspire a deeper dedication to the church and a stronger sense of unity and service among believers. The book provides practical guidance and challenges readers to embrace their roles as church members and actively contribute to the growth and well-being of their respective congregations.
From my viewpoint, Chat GPT did a good job:)
My Highlight: Pray for your Leaders
Although ‘a leader’ could be exaggerated, I have a similar experience.
One of my best, lovely friends has been working at church as an internship,
and I have been praying for her since then.
Through this experience, I got two things I would like to share with you all:
You can be a part of their journey God prepared (in a deep level!)
When you pray for leaders,
you can be a part of their amazing, wonderful journey God prepared for them.
How beautiful isn’t it?:))))
For example,
I was able to encounter some events which will rarely happen in your life,
I am learning which I don’t think I can learn by myself, she and I has been learning together, etc.
It is true that what I stated commes when you pray for others as well.
In other words, it does not come only when you pray for your leaders.
However, I think you can have a deeper experience because you are in the same church, in a close environment.
I strongly recommend because I has beed blessed through praying for her and this is me who is being touched form my personal experience.
I want to encourage to pray for your leaders in a deep level:)
For you
Actually, leaders’ faith also influences yours to some extent.
This is honestly one of the reasons why leaders need much prayer.
One more thing: Why I recommend this book?
In this textbook, there are many guides based on Bible which are very practical.
Unfortunately, it would be impossible to share all of concret instruction here.
So I tremendouly take a look at this book by yourselves.
